| Requirements: | Adult Female- Minimum age 21. Requires a Forsyth County issued badge and background check (contact Faye for required form and info about badge) |
| Responsibilities: | Lead Bible study with group of female inmates from a selected group of jail approved studies. Show video, reinforce video and homework, facilitate discussion. Pray with them. |
| Comments: | Bible Study Teachers will facilitate group of ladies signed up for Bible studies offered Monday and Wednesday nights. Serve as available each month according to your schedule. Fill in for regular teacher, lead your own study, or co-lead on the night/s you are able. Objective is to share the Bible with ladies each week, encouraging Biblical principles to take root in their hearts and lives. It is intended that a Bible Study Teacher be accompanied by an Bible Study Encourager. Jail Ministry requires a non-judgmental attitude and love for hurting women. It takes courage but is completely safe. All volunteers are constantly monitored and never in contact with dangerous criminals. If not comfortable, you are able to leave at any time. |
